what cookd is
cookd is software that analyses the technical quality of photographs you give it — angle, lighting, crop, expression, background and distance — and returns a ranking of those photographs plus a written report. the free part is the ranking. the paid part is a one-time digital report ("the fix list", $24) or a one-time report written by a person ("i'll go through it personally", $49).
cookd is not a dating service. it does not evaluate people, faces or bodies, and it never returns a number about a person. it makes no promise about matches, dates or anyone's love life.
who can use it
- you must be 18 or older.
- the photos must be yours — you took them, or you have the right to use them.
- no nudity or sexual content. no one under 18 in any photo. sets that appear to break either rule are declined in full, and we do not explain which photo caused it.
- don't use cookd to analyse photos of other people without their permission.
what you get
free: a ranking of your photos, a verdict on each, a set tier, a full read of your weakest frame, and share cards. no account, no email.
$24, the fix list: a one-time digital report for the set you ran: what the set is missing across six shot types, a reshoot instruction for each weak frame, six axes on every photo, the reorder and your original order. you can re-run reshot frames free for 14 days.
$49, personally: the same shape of report, written by hand by a person and sent by email within 24 hours. because we do not store your photos, we will ask you to reply to the receipt email with the same photos so a person can look at them.
prices are shown before you upload anything. the launch price is $24 until 30 september 2026; from 1 october it is $29. there are no subscriptions and no recurring charges.
payments
payments are processed by our payment provider on their secure pages. by paying you agree to their terms as well. we don't see or store your card details.
refunds
60 days, no questions. the full policy is on the refunds page, and it is one paragraph long.
what the report is and isn't
the report is an opinion about photographs, produced by software and, for the $49 option, by a person. it is a set of shooting suggestions. it is not medical, psychological or professional advice, and it is not a guarantee of any outcome on any app. you decide what to do with your own profile.
your photos
we do not store your photos. how they are processed is described on the privacy page. by running a set you give us permission to process the photos for the purpose of producing the read, and nothing else.
our stuff
the text, design and code of cookd are ours. your photos are yours. the report we send you is yours to keep, share, or ignore.
limits
cookd is provided as-is. we work hard to keep it up and accurate, but we don't promise it will always be available or that the read will always be right. to the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us.
